Basic Coding with Python Intensive: Introductory Session in Canaday 315. In-Person

Due to its power and simplicity, Python has become the scripting language of choice for many large organizations, including Google, Yahoo, and IBM. Learn about Python’s syntax and usage, as well as advanced features such as objects, generators, and exceptions. Understand how types and values are related to objects; how to use control statements, loops, and functions; and how to work with generators and decorators.  Registration required at: https://app.joinhandshake.com/events/1080291/share_preview.

The “Basic Coding with Python” Intensive includes both curated self-study modules and in-person review sessions to help you create code using Python. Upon completion of the Intensive, you may apply to the Career and Civic Engagement Center for a paid subscription to Leetcode, which will help you to enhance your skills, expand your knowledge and prepare for technical interviews to begin your programming career.  This introductory session includes an orientation to the rest of the Intensive, a review of pre-workshop tutorials, and an overview of Python as a coding language.  Please come to the session having completed the pre-workshop assignment.
