Intro to HTML/CSS In-Person
This event will be happening in tandem with Wordpress Website Week (March 28th – April 1st), a weeklong challenge to create and build up web development skills through Wordpress. Those who are not taking part are also welcomed to attend this session.
This workshop will direct participants on the basics of using HTML and CSS to introduce them into basic website construction. This session will allow participants the skills to create a very basic website, along with instructions on how to put their website on the web with Domain of One’s Own. Domain of One's Own provides Bryn Mawr College students, faculty, and staff with their own subdomain of digital.brynmawr.edu (e.g., yourdomain.digital.brynmawr.edu), which they can use to host websites and web content.
Staff, Faculty, and Students welcomed to attend.
We ask that participants bring their own computer to the session - participants can either download a free code editor onto their computer such as Atom ( https://atom.io/) or VScode (https://code.visualstudio.com/), or they are welcome to use a web-based code editor such as Codepen ( https://codepen.io/pen/ ).
