File Action Day
The focus of File Action Day is safeguarding sensitive College information located in your e-mail, on your computer, and in file folders shared drives. Use this block of time on Dec. 4 to identify and assure safe storage of personal information that has been entrusted to you. Lessons learned from File Action Day will increase your cyber-awareness and benefit both you and the College. Action goals include:
- Identifying and raising awareness of “risky records”
- Deleting or destroying records not necessary for ongoing business
- Moving business-essential records to a safer location
- Reinforcing data-security practices and file maintenance
- Providing tips to improve workflow
