Applications Due, Working with Data Intensive
Considering an academic project or career involving data? In this mini-intensive you will develop competencies needed to critically, responsibly, and effectively work with data through a mini-project involving the analysis of existing data (see Data Management and Preservation and Data Analysis and Visualization). You will also have an opportunity to meet alumnae/i and other professionals and learn how data-related competencies relate to their work across a range of academic disciplines and professional fields. This intensive is appropriate for students with some previous experience working with data, or no previous experience but a strong interest in working with data and learning the necessary tools and skills. The Working with Data Intensive takes place on Saturday, 9/29, and Sunday, 9/30, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM both days. Accepted students are expected to attend both days. The application deadline for this intensive is Monday, September 17. Students will be notified of their application status on Wednesday, September 19. If you have questions about the program, email Beth Seltzer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jennifer Spohrer (email@example.com). Questions about program logistics can be sent to Jess Hollinger (firstname.lastname@example.org). This intensive is co-sponsored by LITS and LILAC.
