Digital Narratives Intensive In-Person

2017-2018 Digital Intensives
These intensives are jointly organized by LILAC and LITS (Library and Information Technology Services) as part of the Digital Competencies Program. The program is designed to help students identify and develop the digital skills and critical perspectives on digital technologies they need to thrive in their academic coursework, co-curricular endeavors, and life beyond Bryn Mawr College. Participants will have the opportunity to build their competencies through project-based workshops and explore academic and career paths that draw on those competencies.

As communication moves more and more to digital mediums, society increasingly values the ability to tell stories in media-rich, engaging digital formats. This Intensive gives you the tools and critical perspectives to craft digital narratives (personal, academic, or professional), building your Digital Communication digital competencies. You will also have an opportunity to meet alumnae/i and other professionals and learn how digital communication-related competencies relate to their work across a range of academic disciplines and professional fields. This intensive is appropriate for students with some previous experience working with digital communication tools (examples include but are not limited to film, audio, digital publishing, and social media), or no previous experience but a strong interest in working with digital narratives and learning the necessary tools and skills.
