Programming and Physical Computing for Beginners In-Person
Adafruit’s Circuit Playground Express is a physical computing and programming tool that is accessible to coding novices. Adafruit circuits have been used by museum professionals, the fashion industry, and in many other interdisciplinary/practical venues. This workshop will teach attendees to write a simple program using a block-based interface for the Playground Express that makes use of its various sensors, LED displays, and speakers. You do not need coding experience to attend this workshop; it is designed particularly for individuals who have little to no background and want to try their hand at building something creative in a welcoming space.
Circuits will be available on-site for use; attendees may have to work in groups or pairs. Please bring a personal laptop with an internet connection and a USB port if you own one.
