Tech Talk: 3D Modeling and Augmented Reality for Cultural Heritage In-Person
In this Tech Talk, PhD candidate Alexander Brey (History of Art) discusses how and why he has used 3D Modeling for reconstruction in his own research on early Islamic architecture, presenting the benefits and challenges associated with this approach as well as some of the popular technologies employed in the field. He also explores the exciting new ways that archaeologists and curators are combining 3D-Modeling with Augmented Reality technologies to present their research to the public.
Open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
