Tech Talk: The HoloLens and Mixed Reality in the Classroom

Tech Talk: The HoloLens and Mixed Reality in the Classroom In-Person

Student wears HoloLens headset.

The HoloLens is a “mixed reality” device, consisting of a set of goggles and onboard computer processor that can superimpose 2-D and 3-D virtual images (aka “holograms”) onto the wearer’s view of the real world. Join us for hands-on experience with the HoloLens and its built-in software (RoboRaid, anyone?), and to brainstorm applications for higher ed.

Bryn Mawr College is partnering with Pearson Education to explore the educational possibilities of the Microsoft HoloLens over AY2016-17. Faculty interested in exploring or piloting applications for the spring are encouraged to talk to us in person or at edutech@brynmawr.edu.
