Tech Talk: Medieval Nuns on Wordpress - Reanimating a Bryn Mawr Manuscript In-Person
As a graduate assistant in Bryn Mawr Library's Special Collections, Nava Streiter built a website [http://poissyprocessional.brynmawr.edu/] to present a medieval manuscript that contains prayers and music for a series of Christian processional services. The site animates the book and makes it accessible to students of manuscript studies, medieval studies, and musicology. Nava's talk will address issues of presenting a medieval object in a digital context, and she will discuss the joys and challenges of creating this site. Calla Carter, a current Bryn Mawr undergraduate computer science major who worked on developing the site, also will join the discussion.
